This is a demonstration website. Woodside CPA Services, LLC is a fictional business created to showcase what can be designed, provisioned and hosted through MaiaHost. No real accounting practice operates from this site and no client relationship is created by using it.
What this site collects
The pages here are static HTML. They set no cookies, run no analytics, load no advertising or tracking scripts, and make no requests to third-party servers for fonts or other assets.
The one exception is the contact form, which posts to MaiaHost's managed contact-form service. If you submit it, the name, email address, telephone number, subject and message you typed are transmitted to that service and delivered to the mailbox bound to this site. The service applies its own spam checks, which involve your IP address and a challenge widget.
What the host records
As with any website, the web server keeps standard access logs — IP address, timestamp, the page requested, the referring page and your browser's user-agent string. These are used for operating and securing the server and are retained on the hosting provider's ordinary schedule.
What a real CPA firm would owe you
Had this been an operating practice, the information you provided would additionally be subject to the confidentiality obligations that bind licensed Certified Public Accountants, to Internal Revenue Code section 7216 governing the use and disclosure of tax return information, and to the safeguards requirements that apply to tax preparers under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act. In practice that means client tax information may not be used for any purpose other than preparing your return, or disclosed to anyone, without your specific written consent.
What we would never do
- Sell, rent or trade client information to anyone, for any purpose.
- Use your tax return information to market unrelated products or services to you.
- Send tax documents by unencrypted email as a matter of routine.
- Retain records longer than professional standards and the applicable statutes require.
Your choices
Do not submit anything to the form on this site that you would not want stored. If you have already submitted something and would like it removed, use the contact page to ask and it will be deleted.
Children
This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes
Any revision to this page will carry a new date at the top of it.
